    Default Hello from Rhode Island!

Hello everyone. I was sick of spending so much money on slot machines at the casino. So I did a search on craiglist and found this Hanabi Elvis Presley pachislo for $150. They guy told me it needed work, but when he showed it to me it looked great and was working perfectly! I thought I scored big time. When I got home though I plugged it in and I can't get it to work now. I put coins in it but the credits don't register. Hopefully somebody can help me out or point me in the right direction? I just joined today so I will look around and get more familiar with the forum. Anyway thanks for letting me join, I had no idea this forum existed until I searched google for information. I included some pictures of the machine, I would appreciate whatever information you know about it. Thanks again!

    first off

    Welcome to Pachitalk

second try doing a full reset

In order to do a full reset or change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens or credits being played.

Locate internal toggle switch (red tipped or silver with on/off tabs) or insert key into internal key switch (if your machine came with 2 keys).

Machine must be turned OFF. Turn key clockwise or flip reset toggle switch to the "ON" or "ODDS" position. Turn main power switch ON to access programming mode.

A number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on the CREDIT meter on the front door or on a display inside the door.

Locate the reset button. This will be located on your power supply. On SAMMY brand models, the button is on the inside of the door only.

Depress the button and notice movement of number being displayed on the credit meter. Once the desired level is displayed (1 to 6) pull "spin reels" handle (black or red knob on front door) down, like you are going to spin the reels, to lock odds level into machine memory.

Turn key switch back or flip toggle to "OFF" or "PLAY" position. Machine should immediately initialize. You will know the machine initialized if the "Insert Medal" light starts flashing. If not, make sure you remembered to press down the "SPIN REELS" lever. If it still doesn't initialize, turn power to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

Waving hello and welcome to PachiTalk!!

If you try the full reset (which includes the odds change) and see if your pachislo works okay after that,

if not, then I'm sure the members here will offer you some trouble shooting advice, so please do post and let us know how you get on

Forgot to add, that looking at the pics, I believe your pachislo is called 'Hanabi'

this was a model manufactured by Aruze around 1998

    link: http://translate.google.com/translat...1&ie=Shift_JIS

I understand that 'hanabi' is the Japanese word for Fireworks , a great theme (I have it as my user name here and I also have the Pachinko too)

I did that reset procedure that moparformances posted. The light on the front, bottom, right is flashing and I have a zero showing on the left front. I inserted about 30 tokens but still showed zero on the counter. Let me know if I should be posting this somewhere else. I am a bit overwhelmed with this forum but don't want to upset anyone.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone!

The tokens are going into the hopper and I have about 400 tokens in the hopper and another 500-600 tokens.

Hello! And welcome! When you put in 3 coins will the knob spin the reels? It might be in pay mode and not credit. If you hold the red button on the left or the max bet button it might toggle to credit mode???

With the door open do the coins fall through the coin mech ? Mine was acting flaky once and the coin release was stuck... Kind of, it allowed coins to the hopper but wouldn't register.. I took it apart and cleaned it and it was back to working. You hopper is plugged in ?

I suppose their is the option that someone wired out the need for coins, do the reels spin without coins?

You have an unusual problem, as unregistered tokens should be falling into the payout tray, not the hopper.
