New collector. I've wanted a pachinko machine for the longest time. I'm now in a position to get four or five for decent prices, and am looking at akimono for a decent sized order of balls and machine. Can't wait to make this into one of my greatest hobbies yet.
Oh, and I'm sure I'll get frowned upon for saying this (even though there's absolutely no intention of making it a gaming device), but I just found my old mechanical coin acceptor. Plan on turning an early modern machine semi/fully cyclic (payouts will be fed to the loading bay), and fixing the strength knob to a decent setting. Optical sensor placed right before the feed into the shooter, tied to a time delay relay, connected to the fire knob. This will basically make a giant steel box coin bank that autoplays pachinko for a bit when you put in some money. Autoplay length will depend on how many payouts are received, play keeps going until the feed bay is next to empty. It will be the greatest mechanical bank I've ever made to date!
