Sankyo Martian Successor Nadesico

So after a 10 hour road-trip... the fruits of my results..

Found this while randomly surfing CL for something unrelated.. Sankyo 2009, based on the anime Martian Successor Nadesico.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martia...essor_Nadesico
Machine was in very good shape.. needed some TLC and cleaning.. pretty dusty both internal and external.. good wipedown and some compressed air did the trick.. came with a couple hundred tokens and both keys.
As a bonus it was autographed by Tiffany Grant.. who voiced "Ryoko" in the english dub.. but is not a character pictured on the machine.. however she does show up briefly in several animations that play on the LCD Screen.

Overall observations.. The machine has no "chance" button like my Macross and Eva Pachislos do.. however it uses the Max Bet button to achieve the same result. There are no Animitronics on this machine, however the lighting around the top and sides is very interactive.. the sides change color frequently and it rates up there with my SDF Macross machine on random color changes. Also worth noting that in the corners there are lit up cells of Yurika, and Ruri.. they flash when they speak and even call out to the player at certain points.. Random mini-games still too early to go into details.. I also like the fact that the machine has a counter built into it, to show you how many coins you win when you go into a bonus round. Several types of bonuses RB, BB, SBB.. Aestevalis Bonus.. and some Gekiganger Bonus or something like that.

All in all I like it.. picked it up for a great price.. and shipping would have killed it.
Now I need to locate its Pachinko companion..

Question for the people who can read Japanese in the picture below.. there are lights that light up.. with text behind them. On the left side (purple) I assume these are coin indicators 1,2,3.. bur on the right side (yellow) its not so clear and things light up here at different points... translation please..

That's a good looking machine. I'm really glad it worked out well for you. Especially after the long drive.

I've been watching some play videos.. and I noticed that the reels are not lit up like on the videos.
All connections seems to be secure. is there a bulb or something that I should be looking for? or is it possible something in the reels themselves in unplugged?

Not so sure.. the reels are lit up on some youtube vids not in any Bonus mode.. and they have yet to light when I get into a bonus mode myself.

Anyone have any experience playing with the reels on a newer sankyo machine?

I got the reels out.. and got to the bulbs.. it was pretty easy if your careful.
Now I need bulbs.. onto the help forums..
