Default Installed and Ready to Go!

I thought you might like to see the two games I just finished installing in my ball management system.

They replace Sankyo's Casino (aka Playboy Casino) and Wanted (aka Texas Western).

The installs went easily enough. Naturally, the new games had different rear ball drop locations from the removed pachinkos. I expected this and tried to figure out a way use the original holes in the countertop which led to the ball collection baskets.

Guess what? A cut down gallon milk jug and a juice container worked perfectly as funnels to the off center holes!

The Thunderzone mounted easily with no problems. The Pink Panther went in with little fuss but I later had a small problem with the lock mechanism.

The door wouldn't open with the master key. The side of my cabinet is open so I was able to reach around and manually open the stubborn door. What I discovered was that the extension spring which acts as a keeper on the sliding latch assembly was too strong and it created too much tension on the latch when the door was closed. My key was unable to exert enough force on the latch to have the lock cam push the latch assembly up.

The solution was to lubricate all the moving parts and pivot points on the latch assembly and to replace the spring with one of lesser tension.

Now I'm in business and ready to show them off to our daughter and her husband tomorrow.

I also did a volume mod on the PP game as it was just too loud on its lowest setting.

I am truly a happy camper!
