Red face Is this a real Pachislo? Ferrari Branded.

Made by Aruze Corp in 1999. The Ferrari branding looks legit, but I've never seen one before. Here are a bunch of pictures. http://www.formula1dvd.com/f1_ferrar...chine_138.htmlferrari_slot_machine_3.jpg

Nope it's a custom. If you look just above the stop buttons you will see there is a chart featuring Don chan. Showing completely different reel symbols.

Thanks guys. Are these worth much? He's asking 5,500 and another one sold ebay for 3,500. Since there are a few of these out there, who custom made them?

    dollars or yen?

I wouldn't pay more than $100, its not even liecnced by Ferrari. Sounds like someone trying to do a PT Barnum.
Sure someone went to a lot of hard work to customize it. And did a good job, But to some people that actually devalues it. by taking it away from original.
In the end it is still a hanabi and will make all the hanabi noises. (Unless the chips have been hacked)

Its worth what someone will pay.

    Hey!!

Okay, here's my personal opinion (and it is just my opinion of course )

I think customising does devalue a pachislo. It also seems to make it harder to re-sell, and judging by the amount of new members that join us having bought customs by accident, they tend to want to restore them back to how they should be. This may well be a nicely done custom but it is still a custom.

btw I've never seen a pachislo sell for that much, can't be dollars ? was it Yen? I've seen silly prices listed on ebay but never sold

I bought my very first pachislo back in 2006, it was a hanabi themed one called Don Chan 2 I only paid about £50 GBP for it, and whilst it was a long time ago, the thing to note is that it was obviously not very old, so for good money these days you could probably buy something much more modern and more up to date with it's specification depending on what themes interest you, I'm sure the members here would offer lots of advice and suggestions

That's dollars gentlemen. So, with these custom machines. Are the decals still transparent? Does the lighting still usually work correctly?

Also, I've seen several of these so it's not a one off. Who would be doing these conversions?

some members have done some and a few retailers have also.

they get more for the machines from buyers who don't care or know they are customs and want one.

According to my RC link it's a 2006 model made by Sansei R&D,

so not sure how popular it was at the time, but i know some of our members have had that one, so there may be some on the market?

I can give you a link so you know what it looks like and the Specs

"There is slight wear as this machine was used in an active casino.
It has been converted to take TOKENS."

OK. I'll let "casino" slide for parlor (parlour) but not that it was converted to tokens. The mod seems well done and the machine looks clean. I think $100 USD is fair. You can always pretend the fireworks are cars backfiring.

I think you could get a container of pachislos for less than that!!

That machine (pre custom stickers) came over here by the container load 10 years ago and sold for just $50 on many websites..

As for the pachinko, at least one or two venders had them several years ago, so there are some in the US, not sure how many though..
