Help identifying Sanyo comet II machine

Just picked up my first machine.

With some help from posts on here and online I was able to clean it up and rewire it.

It works great now and I would really like to know more about it.

I have looked online and have not seen another like it.

The the lens in corner is red with a 15 in it. It has a frog in the right corner with moving eyes when you hit the bumper.

Otherwise it has a space theme with the center attraction being a rocketship and astronaut.

If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

I looked at the playing field number and it just has a 6. Not sure if this will help.

Machines from this era dont seem to have names for each theme. we group them by model style or year of production.. theme parts sometimes span a two or three years of use, and are mixed with different background or cell designs.. machines start to get mor consistent themes in the later 70's. Then in the 80 the mixing of playfield parts seem to stop and machine with names are created..

Another fast way to date is by the cel design. Most non-nishijin models started using printed formica board instead of paper cels for the background art starting around 1976-1977.
