1975 SANYO COMET II - how to wire 9V battery

This past Saturday I picked up a 1975 Sanyo Comet II - first owned machine ever and I'm very excited.

Its very clean and I'm ready to test its electronics - how do I hookup/wire power to this unit?

From PachinkoPlanet's video I noticed a black encased 9V (I assuming this) wired to the three vertical prongs seen in this photo, not sure exactly how to make the connect and what goes where... PLEASE HELP!!

Also if you can help me identify exactly the year & model of this unit, I'd appreciate it. Its stamped 6 S I behind the ball feed section.

Welcome aboard! Nice looking machine. To determine the date, check out this page for information on dating your Sanyo using the expiration stickers found on the front of most machines.

To connect power, it appears the top two posts are used for the connections. To borrow Carl's excellent photo:

Every Comet II I have seen so far has been a 1975, I am not sure if they made them any other year. If they did, they did not bring many of them into the USA.

I'm not 100% on dating but I think my Comet II expired June 1977 making it a 1976 manufacture?
