    Default 1964 Heiwa Ashtray

Not sure how many people will end up needing this part. But figured I'd post it.

Ashtray for a 1964 Heiwa Single Shot. I will say it isn't perfect (only wanted to print one to not waste material) But it fits with some easy modifications to the tray. Though kinda bugs me the slot doesn't match up but I'm too lazy to try to fix that.

    Print specs:
    • ABS blue (painted silver later)
    • .25mm layer height
    • 40% infill
    • 3 shells, 4 top& bottom
    • Supports on
    • Print time was about 3.5hrs I think
    • 51g of material which is $1.27

Not sure if I should be posting to this thread or starting a new one.

This is another one of those "not-sure-who-would-need-this"

I am not very good at part names, or even knowing exactly what machine I own. I know its a Nishijin but I have long since forgotten anything about it (Photos below) . Recently a part inside the Ball Launching Mechanism Broke.

It took a few hours to measure every area, bump, or section but I did this CAD file for the community (attached). I also had a friend list the part for sale on his webpage so if you need the part, but don't have a 3D printer, then it could be an option. http://www.jealouspanda.com/Nishijin..._14618012.aspx

I am happy to say my machine is back up and working.

I have my printer up and going at long last (and getting decent results). I have printed everything Max has posted and have to say....AMAZING JOB! Fits perfect (I didn't need any of them yet, but trial fit on my machines. Having them on the shelf for the next machine makes me feel warm and fuzzy ). Huge Kudos to max for his awesome files and letting us have them!

I was approached by a member here (I'll leave it up to him to reveal himself) about a month ago who needed a rear top elbow for a Nishijin Model A machine. (well actually a single shot, but the model A used the same parts). So I quickly designed a 3D printer friendly version of the part and sent off the files. Though I had to print one myself to make sure everything fit as it should (and it did ).

I designed the new version so the front cover can be removed if need be (which makes cleaning easier). I also deleted the mount for the tab to stop the flow of balls in order to make the part print correctly / easily. I designed the cover to screw on with 3 #4 pan head screws (3/8" - 1/2" long). The part did need to have the holes drilled out afterwards with either a 3.5mm or 3mm drill bit (did it a while ago and can't remember exactly).

The part is also posted on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1318574

    Print specs:

    • PLA pink (got it for free so didn't care if the print failed with the material)
    • .25mm layer height
    • 30% infill
    • 4 shells
    • Supports on
    • Print time was about 2hrs I think
    • 36g of material which is $0.80

This thread is awesome. I don't have a 3D printer.

A public library of parts (files and pictures) would be great for those that do have a printer.
Also, one can send these files to services that will print parts for a fee.

    Thanks for sharing!

I'm perfectly fine with you printing them out and selling the parts. I'm fine with any member doing that.

I just don't want anyone to ever charge for the part files that I post. As I encourage members to modify the files if they think it needs to be done and post the new version here for everyone.

That being said if anyone ever needs a part I too can print them out. PM me or email me (email found on my website).

Max that is amazing of you but I wouldn't want to sell the parts per say, just enough to cover cost but as you know it's almost nothing :-). A huge thank you for being so generous with your files.

Max, here is the Daichi ball flap guide mabober . I printed in PETG for a member to finish off his daichi build. I've also attached the STL for anyone who may need or want one. #Savethepachinko

Been a while since I've had something to add to this thread.

But as promised all parts that I model and print for anyone pachinko related I will post to this site for free as well. (As long as no one is selling my files directly.)

So there are a few parts which will turn out to be multiple posts. The new parts are as described.

    • I made some changes to the Nishijin B track cover slider. As the other one was really thin and giving me some issues printing.

    • Monkey assembly for a Nishijin Monkey & Alligator center feature.

    • Nishijin shooter spring rollers

    • 1972 Nishijin Model B round rebound bumper (odd shape)

    • Special playfield nail setting gauge

So first one first. Attached are the new files for the track cover slider. Print at 100% infill with supports on and .2mm layer height.

    nishijin B track cover slider.png

Next is Nishijin Spring Roller: Print with Ninjaflex Semiflex. 40% triangle infill, 3 schells (4 top and bottom), .2mm layer height. Took about 6 min to print.

    nishijin spring roller.png

Nishijin B round rebound bumper: Print with Ninjaflex Semiflex. 40% triangle infill, 3 schells (4 top and bottom), .2mm layer height. Took about 30 min to print.

This is a very odd bumper as I have never seen a round one before with a flat side on it. Must not have been used on many machines.

    Post 2 from previous.....

Last for this post. Playfield nail gauge. This is an invaluable tool I devised for when replacing playfields. This makes sure every nail is set precisely to the 18mm height. Also the front of it has the 3 degree angle that every nail should have facing upward. You just have to remember this tool is best used for when you start putting nails in the bottom of the playfield first and work your way up.

Excuse my print notes it has been a while since I printed one of these. Printed in PLA, 40-50% infill, 3 schells all around, .3mm layer height. No Supports.

Also sorry for not having a solidworks file for this. I'm not sure where that file went to.

    Pin tool.png

Nishijin Monkey center. I tried to copy the monkey as close to the original as possible. I actually scanned in the original and traced over it. With these new files I tried to optimize the monkey and remove some excess material the old one had. So by doing that the counter weight for the monkey most likely will need to be rebalanced.

These models can be printed and purchased from shapeways (best material choice is the frosted clear)
    https://www.shapeways.com/product/P7...ionId=63064160
    https://www.shapeways.com/product/JK...ionId=63064147

The reason I uploaded them to shapeways is these files need to be printed with an SLA or SLS printer due to the fine details. So I do not have any print settings for these files.

That being said I will still upload the STL and solidworks files here should any member need them. Also sorry for having to split the files (no longer able to upload my larger zip files).

You will need 3, #2 x 1/4" pan head wood screws to assemble the monkey. Along with the counterweight and 8" of 1/64" diameter nylon cord.

Also sorry I don't have any thingiverse links to the parts above. As seeing I'm doing this strictly for members I didn't see much point in uploading them there. If people want me to I will upload them though.

Send me an email of which ones you are wanting. Plus if you want to use them for mold making I can print them in hard plastic (cheaper).

Max- Do you typically do them in a "semiflex" or "ninjaflex" material? I did a bunch in semiflex and have been really happy with the results (and much easier printing)

Yep. Semiflex is the best. It is what I print all my bumpers in now. 3 Walls and 4 top and bottom with 30% infill usually gives about the perfect stiffness.

I got a sample of cheetah and armadillo that I have yet to try. The armadillo feels too rigid though. (kinda like a slightly bendy PLA). I think they are also phasing out semiflex and changing it to cheetah as it is basically the same material.
