Got the part in and seems perfect.
Also made a battery mount with a switch.
This entire machine was black/brown and full of leaves and other bits when i picked it up.

Yes it is wonderful with the fish. When the center splits open it reveals the back of a geisha's head. lol
Sadly the only paint that is coming off or missing is black-light reactive.

They make some very durable paints and they even have the black light paint and now they have a L.E.D. Black light without the heat of the filament or fluorescent light.

Would anyone be interested in a 3-D printable upper ball tray?

I would be. I have a large printer that can handle that size job. I've printed my own trays already but I would be interested in trying yours anyway.

Okay. I split mine in half for printing purposes but I will rejoin them and post them in a few weeks once I’m out of school. Do you have pics of what yours looks like? I made mine based off of the dimensions of a model B 1972 machine

i have a model for the rear payout ball tray for a vintage Mizuho.
it is modified to fit flush with the back of the cabinet so the machine can be mounted on the wall (ie so it contains fewer balls than the standard tray.)

i can't attach it for some reason so maybe i can attach in pm if someone wants it.

Has anyone here printed their own personal center feature or replicated or modified one for a custom playing field, replacement, or something? I have done some 3D printing and design. Just wondering if anyone has begun or have went down that rabbithole?

While I have an idea to do something like this, I have not put any effort into it yet. I have a machine in the attic that I want to make a themed machine, and thinking about trying to print a modification for the existing centerpiece.
I had an idea I would make new front trays from 3D models at one point, but the technology doesn't seem to be good enough yet to match the quality of an injection molded ABS part...at least not that I have been able to generate. So I have switched to repairing and repainting front trays instead.

A custom centerpiece sounds like it could be cool, but also sounds challenging to make parts light enough for the weight of a pachinko ball to be able to operate them (but not impossible!).
I'd be curious in hearing/seeing what you have in mind.

The center attractions seems like it would be possible along with pockets maybe even the tulips. It may even be possible to use multicolored filaments to save from being painted as well. I have seen some of the other members custom make the playfields and was wondering if anyone modified or printed their own to compliment the playfield. I have not restored a pachinko machine yet. But i have been rolling the ideas around a couple of themed machines that would be of my personnel interests.

Yes I do it all the time, but it is based on existing infrastructure; custom parts are always based off the original shapes.

Lots of custom tulips, pass-throughs, and jackpot wheels. These are very specific to the particular playfield aesthetic and not intended for general use. But I have uploaded to here some of the more common things like spinners and win pockets.
    Clipboard01.jpg Clipboard01a.jpg Clipboard02.jpg Clipboard01b.jpg

for example, referencing some of the parts above, i wanted to do a "native american night sky" theme so i modified most existing attractions to use petroglyphs imagery on this Model A and printed them all in Brass or gold-plated brass, or silver (the tulip pockets), kept the original center part and orange tulips.
