Default 2x Power Flash sales on Fleecebay in past month...

May 24th, and May 31st, a nice one with some wear on the cell, and a faded one both of the thunderbird.
That is the most I have seen in such a short period. Sold for 124 or so, and 200 or so respectively. Is it my imagination or are we seeing folks dumping the Tbirds?
I just pulled the better of my Powerflashes out and enjoyed it this morning and thought to myself what a fun game to play. Wasted 30 minutes enjoying it
Who else has power flashes, and are you too enjoying the games and keeping them?

No such thing as wasted time when it comes to pachinko, Super Dave. I believe there was one each of the thunderbird and chinaman that sold. I sold the t-bird because I have a couple of them and was trying to thin the herd a bit to make room for a couple arrangeball machines. I believe the guy that sold the other machine didn't know anything about pachinko and had come across it somewhere and was just looking to flip it and make a few bucks. They are fun machines to play.

I absolutely love my Power Flash. When people come over, it is usually the crowd favorite as well. The modifications oe to my machine allow you to play quick timed games and take turns. The digital scoring lets people try to compete for high scores or try to beat their personal best scores.

Did you do the original mods, or did CarlW and you also? I remember Carl doing some code and design back 3-4 years ago. When did you do your?

I've been trying to land a Powerflash for about a year. Just can't seem to hit the right bid.

BTW, how accurate is yours in keeping score? CarlW, how about yours? Also does the software stop counting when their time is over?

The counters are very accurate. However they can't compensate for how many balls you start with. So your total amount will be off unless you add the number of balls you started with and subtracted the shots fired from that.

Only reason I know is I have one of these counters as well. And have used the Gaku counter version on one of my moderns. Though unfortunately I have yet to mount the adruino on one of my machines. Someday though....

    100 machines and counting...

Reliable counts is all about sensor placement and testing aka trial and error.
Powerflashes need diodes to block the solenoid interference.

Timed game software stops counting when time expires, regardless of pachinko balls in play.
    It's consistent for all players.
Similarly with shot counter game, the last shot will never be a winner; as the game ends.

Shots are counted and wins are counted.Cabinet Side.jpg

Its true, I have seen with start state (open tulips) that women really enjoy this type of machine more than men.
I have 4 power flash machines, 3 tbirds, and 1 china. When they are out and playing, 90% of the players are women.
Its mesmerizing to say the least. One has to wonder if this was the original designers interests, and if so they hit it.

Just got my thunderbird about a month ago. Very fun to play...but frustrating! I never knew that the jokers were SO easy to hit! Play long enough, all tulips open. Almost always...the first 2 balls land into jokers, closing everything! I still love it. Will likely add a Gaku pachicounter, ball lifter, and build a cabinet.
Wont be getting rid of it anytime soon. It ranks in my top 3 machines.
To those still looking...be patient, keep your eyes open. It will come! I drove 3.5 hours each way...still worth it! #1- see it before you pay. #2- as long as you don't get a speeding ticket, still cheaper and safer than shipping. And most importantly...GET IT NOW...without clicking on a tracking number every day until it arrives.
Downside...you miss the adriline rush of discovering a big package when you get home from work! The feeling of opening a present as you tear it open...even if you bought it for yourself!

I agree to some extent. I have matched long 2000 mile trips with buying a machine, both pins, pachi, etc. I just don't trust the folks that are selling to either appreciate the value to me, or for that matter do a quality job of packing it up and then there is the monkey system of shipping. I have never done a shipping on these games, just go and get it if it makes sense. You get to inspect, discover the history (truth or not) which will be told if you just ask. Folks love to talk about it if they didn't just buy it at a local schlep auction house or a weekly rural flush fest house. They often have a wonderful meaningful story behind them, which to me makes it a large part of the history of a game. Besides, we get to see, meet and discover parts of the country which otherwise would be left unseen by our eyes. Some of these games are literally in the middle of Freaking Nowheresville, US of A.
