Wow, what a hideous machine! I'll do you a favor and take that eyesore away. J/K, I love it. We are going to need pics of the back, and a close up of the label on front.

That is what is classified as a Single Shot conversion. That machine was built in either 52 or 53. Really a neat looking machine especially with the metal flake playfield. (I really like those playfields). Can't tell you much on terms of value cause if there is stuff missing on the back it could hurt it tremendously.

Also not sure of maker but would say on the tag on the front.

Also once again welcome to PT and if you have any questions just ask us.

If it's a single shot conversion, does that mean it was converted from a multi shot?
Any idea of the English trade mark on the front ?
    anyone know who converted these?

does no back door kill the value , it plays well!
What would you offer for this?

i thank you all for your knowledgeable input!!!

Would you be able to post a picture of the back of the machine?

Can't be a single shot conversion. they typically paid to the bottom tray. A top pray was added, and balls moved by hand to top tray. Although this is an earlier model...I still say no way. I am not sure of specifics, but as I remember, Japanese law allowed then banned multi shot machines at least a couple of times. I would like to find an "all 20" machine,as they were banned too.
Value? Hard to tell. It is a desirable machine! It looks rough on the front...but not badly damaged. Condition of the back makes or breaks it. Missing parts are worse than damaged parts. At least damaged parts might be able to be fixed...mostly bent and soldered tin. If the part is unfixable, at least you have a good idea of what the part looks like in order to make a new one! Depending on location (and how bad a buyer wants it), about $75 to $100.
Just as an example of a machine of the era, Comicgo 004.jpg Balls were won to the only tray it has. Balls inserted into the hole in the blue plate, one (or two) at a time. 001.jpgAs you can see, jackpot balls fall down the chute to the bottom tray. When a machine was converted to a multiball game...it would take a great deal of effort to add a top "feeder" tray...and then redesign the back to divert the winning balls to the top tray! SBC 009.jpg This machine was a single shot machine , converted to semiautomatic. The bottom third of the glass was cut off, and a feeder tray was added with a feeder mechanism to feed the balls one at a time to the shooter. The balls payout into the "bottom" tray...the only tray it once had. SBC 002.jpg As you can see, this is way different from yours. But, if you were familiar with a "Model A" type machine, you would notice that nothing has changed. Economically...let the player put the balls to the feeder tray!
