    Default Different types of tokens?

Fresh off of my previous thread with my new Sakura Taisen pachislo machine, after I figured out how to get it working I discovered that the tokens kept getting stuck in the hopper and therefore had a problem with dispensing the tokens when I win. See the first attached image. The tokens that I was using were tokens that I got from Akimono which shipped along with my Street Fighter II machine. After getting them stuck repeatedly, I emptied the hopper so that none of the Akimono tokens were left in the machine and then threw in the 12 tokens that came with the Sakura Taisen machine (well, they "came" as in they were already in the hopper when the machine was delivered) and tried testing them out. To my surprise I kept playing and those tokens never got stuck in the hopper. See the second attached image (the token on the left is from Akimono, the token on the right came with the machine).

So, do tokens actually come in different types? Or perhaps different quality? If so I'm going to have to try to find tokens that are similar to the ones that came with the machine that seem to work better.

Every machine can be different, as can the tokens. Most problems caused by varying thicknesses, diameters and metals in tokens present themselves in the coin mechanism on the door rather than the hopper. If you're lucky, they'll pass through into the tray below, otherwise they'll jam.

Learn which machines are are finicky and separate them in a different room or on another wall. I've found that works best. Stay away from the steel cherry tokens, and avoid the bimetallic tokens as well. It looks like your machine does not like thin tokens. You might see if you can make an adjustment in the hopper.

how do they compare in size and thickness??

is one thicker or bigger diameter?? there has to be something different.. (unless your machine is just plain prejudice??)

There are lots of different tokens out there.

These are the ones I use in my machines:

Although I did not pay nearly that much for them.

I remember when Akimono was coming out with their tokens. In fact they sent me a few to test. I did not have any problems with them in any of my machines although I think I remember mentioning they seemed a little lighter or thinner than my other tokens (can't remember which).

I tested them in several pachislos, an arrangeball and I think I even tried them in my computer pachinko without any problems. It may just be a minor adjustment needed on your machine.

They tend to be slightly thicker in the middle. For some reason my Bellco machines don't like them.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to assume that my machine is just finicky about what tokens are used. The Akimono ones do feel like they are a tad lighter than the other ones. I'll just get some new tokens and see if they work.

Just an update that I got some tokens from eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/500-PACHISLO...-/291492615802) and they work great for my machine.
