Question Just bought a vintage pachinko. any info?

So i saw this it an estate sale and thought it was cool so i purchased it. From what i have gathered it is a nishijin sophia type b pachinko machine. The white is just spider web and there is barely any rust, should clean up great. Any idea what year it is? I took a picture of the front and back, does it look to be intact? I plan on wiring a 10v to it and seeing what it does. Everything seems to move but when i load the balls in they fall out of the back, a video i watched called it the "lost ball duct". I have only seen 2 pictures of this one online, is it rare?

My best estimate is that it is a 1971 or 1972. Yes it is a Nishijin model B (the gateway pachinko). Haven't seen that center atttraction before, looks nifty! It does look intact from what I can see. Enjoy your new machine!

I would guess closer to mid 70's, need a better picture of the stickers inside the front.

Looks complete from what I can see in the pics, the balls falling out are probably coming from the dump tube, you'll need to move the latch over to close the dump to direct the balls to the center payout.

    to Pachitalk!

What you have there is a 1972 Nishijin Model B (Chevy or Bowtie) The machine looks complete and seems to be in pretty decent shape. Also just so you know the power is just for the lights and you can use 9v (easier to find).

Take a quick look at this video on how to setup the machine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEhv...FuYE-UxXp4ZepA

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

It's alive! Thank you everyone. I got it working. Only thing is. The payouts dont seem to work. Maybe it's jammed?

First guess on no payout would be to be sure your seesaw is reset.

The value of these games is very subjective. They are worth what someone is willing to pay. There are rare collectible machines out there. If I was to say what I wouldpay it would probably be a disappointment to you. Do not let that discourage you. The entertainment value alone far exceeds the monetary value. Enjoy your machine. Just a quick warning though. They tend tommultiply quickly.

i think you got a fair deal. In my part of the country it is probably a $40 machine, maybe a little more in really great condition. 1970's machines are available in abundance near me which probably drives the price down a bit. You may be able to get more in your location. Supply and demand.

looks like ya got your questions answered..

value is hard..with out balls you got a fair deal.. ya could probably sell it for a bit more in working condition..

if you got balls with it then there all profit..

You need a minimum of 500 balls to make it work correctly. As the white lever right below the rear tray must be pushed down in order for it to work right. Also there are 2 little white levers in the track above the jackpot mech that also need to be pushed down. Easiest way is to just fill it with balls.

And seeing you have tried to run it with too few balls some the the levers will need to be reset and any stuck balls emptied out. (Nothing hard to do)
