Default New Here, Inherited a pachinko machine

Hello all, New here. Found this site by a search and a referral by a Mr. Cardwell. I just got my inherited machine from my moms place. Dad brought it home when he was in the Navy. We had two of them one had a good frame around it and glass so it was played quite a bit as a kid. The other seemed cursed to not have glass. It was replaced a few times but kept getting broken. Guess which machine I got

While it is workable, it's in very rough condition. My mom's boyfriend "strapped" it down to a trailer crushing the ball tray that is in the middle of the machine, breaking a couple of the soldered joints in the process. There's no carcass or frame around the machine, so I'm gonna have to build something to hold it. And replace the glass, again.

Look forward to learning more about these machines and how they work and how they can be repaired.

    Welcome to PachiTalk.

Shame about the damage, but probably not anything that couldn't be fixed.

    to Pachitalk

What you have there is a late 1962 Nishijin Model A Single Shot. Overall it looks to be in pretty nice shape. Though you said the tray got crushed, which will have to be repaired as there are no replacement parts. Luckily it is a tin tray and not a plastic one so it can be fixed.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    100 machines and counting...
