Default Trying to choose between two Pachinko machines.

I was recently given two Pachinko machines from a friend. I only want one (I want to eventually mount one in a wall) and my cousin took great interest in having the other. I just need to choose which one to keep.

One's a Daiichi New Vangurd 239D(?) and the other is a Okumura Yuki Monako(?). I made an imgur album to better explain everything, as I don't know much about these machines: http://imgur.com/a/e846C

Both machines work (As in, the game itself. I have not checked the bulbs and wiring.)

I just want to know which one has a better build quality, value, rarity, and just which one you all think is nicer. I won't give you any of my opinions yet to try to keep it objective. Thanks all!

It is really a matter of personal taste. If I were choosing, i would go with the Okumura.

IMO, they are both about the same in terms of value. I probably see Daiichi machines more often, but that doesn't necessarily make them more or less desirable than another machine. I agree with Luckydog. Play them both and see which one you enjoy most. That's the one to keep. Neither is going to earn you an early retirement if you decide to sell it later.

Thanks all! I have been leaning toward one and just wanted to see if I was missing something. Does anyone know how I could get more information about the year they were made or the models? I know hundreds of models exist so its hard to narrow them down.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Think they are both about the same age?

Of course I would just advise keeping them both

Maybe post a close up of the tax stamps. Some of the members here are better than me at reading them.

My choice would be the game with two tulips (YUKI), more tulips is almost always better.

I would take the okumara. It is nicer looking.

As for the dates. the Okumara is a 77 and the Daiichi is a 71.

    Oh and to Pachitalk!

    100 machines and counting...

The Okamura-Yuki is an All-10, with an interesting nail pattern variation, and only 4 spinners instead of 6. An All-10 should pay out (only 10 balls per jackpot compared to the normal 15) more often than a regular (15) machine.

The Daiichi has a beautiful background, the spinners are arranged in a slightly different way, and the angled front is visually appealing.

They are each great machines and I would try to keep them both, because once you've finished cleaning and mounting one of them, you're going to start looking for another one.

Ah! The years! And more information! Thank you! You are all very helpful! When I get back to restoring them, i'm probably going to start another thread. I have to figure out how to get some cut wires going again. Some seem to be leaning toward the Yuki machine but I can't get passed that background. I'll see if it grows on me.
