    Default wiring help

I have my "new" first Sankyo machine running well, trying to clean it up a little at a time. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or pictures of wiring for a Sankyo machine. Mine is missing EVERYTHING except the switches, and the wires have been cut back about as far as you can cut them. I am hoping I can solder onto these switches to save the original ones, but really need help on how to set up and wire this beautiful machine. I just picked this up recently and have definitely been bitten by the bug!

You may want to try http://www.pachinkorestorations.com/Wiring.php. A great site owned and operated by one of the members here.

If you are near Aurora, IL, I could help you out in person...

Sometimes the jackpot bulb is in the center feature; otherwise it is near the green oval.

Green oval is low reward switch, usually wired "normally closed".

White oval is where low reward bulb typically goes.

Red rectangle is where jackpot leaf switch usually is.

It's a simple circuit, you can use a battery holder or a wall power pack.

Are there any wires soldered onto the low reward micro switch?

Thanks Carl there are no wires soldered to the low reward switch. There are stubs sticking out on the jackpot switch maybe about 1/2 inch I can get to without taking any plastic off. There are no bulbs no wires no power block so starting from scratch. There are two orange lenses at the top that look like a light could be in. One is behind the hopper. I wonder if bulbs could be installed in the curved row of lenses on the right side of the playing field?

On your machine the top, left, yellow lens has a bulb and on the right side of the playfield, under the word SANKYO, the red portion of the curved row of lenses has a bulb.

Are you good at soldering? It would definitely be easier to remove both switches to solder new wires on them. You would need to remove a little bit of plastic to get at the reward switch.

Here is a link to one of my projects with a similar playfield... It's also on a thread on the vintage forum...

I think I used a 6 volt wall wart with a 46 ohm resistor in line, it was a few years ago.
