    Exclamation Whazzit Worth???

I read Arby's post concerning, 'Rescue dogs' & why was someone paying so much for it & I began to wonder. (OMG!!! Run for it...)
I began to wonder what any of them are worth. Ive heard some say, "A fair price is whatever someone will pay." So are they simply like baseball cards & worth whatever the market will bear?
Im sure rarity is a factor but every time a seller claims its rare, or to only have 2 left, somehow they always find 10 more, but only one at a time. Smart for them, bad for us.
Sooooooo, what, if anything, is the key to figuring out a fair price.
    1. What does it cost to import?
    2. What does it cost to refurbish?
    3. What does it cost to warehouse?
    4. What does it cost to advertise?
I noticed the 'Buy Now' & wondered how far off are these prices compared to the potential bid price?
Im on the road so often that I cant be where I need to be with a fast enuf connection to do a proper bit of sniping. So Im sort of limited & cant have the thrill of the hunt like most others.
So whazzit worth? (Pachislo &/or Pachinkos)
    1. Popeye
    2. Starwars
    3. E.T.
    4. Jurassic Park
    5. Thunderbirds
    6.Pink Panther
    etc, etc, etc...

I'm a trucker too! I've got Flying J's wireless service, very fast! Don't most TA's and Pilots have internet also? Hell, I'm bidding (thru proxy) on 3 auctions in Japan as I type! Stuck in Las Vegas all week!

There are plenty interesting machines out there that go for high prices. It's all about how much you want it. Sometimes you just have to wait till someone gets bored with it and resells. Some you never see again but even more interesting ones are just around the corner...

a machine is worth what you are willing to pay for it.

What about a sniping program.... you can set it up to "snipe" up to your preset amount. Just leave it running on a PC with a decent internet connection and you will get the ebay email to say if you were successful.

I use a SONY GSM card so I can connect anywhere I can get a signal. On the side of the road, rest areas, trk stops etc. Most of the time the signal is much better than dial up & then sometimes its not.
My biggest problem is I dont keep a regular schedule. I may go to sleep in the AM as often as in the PM. Im not aware of a sniping program. Fill me in...
I guess the price is just what the market will bear.
Does anyone have an opinion on the highest price they'd pay for the pachinkos I listed above?

So what's it worth, dollars and cents.

As you must be aware that theme is everything. While some people will pay loads for a Nascar slot. I personally wouldn't give you 2 cents for one. So keeping that in mind, here's what I think those you listed are worth. Also remember my knowledge of the prices they are currently going for on eBay.

    1. Popeye $250
    2. Starwars $500
    3. E.T. $140
    4. Jurassic Park $200
    5. Thunderbirds $190
    6.Pink Panther $200

That represents the most I would give for that particular model. Actually only the Star Wars would get any of my money at this point and I will wait for it to hit my price before I get one for $780 plus $800 shipping.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

The prices you listed, are they before shipping or shipping included?

Thanks Tulsa, I guess thats what Im trying to find out.
I agree that I wouldnt pay squat for some machines but its good for my 'ejakashun' to know what others would pay for a range of machines.
