    Default Sanyo Comet II help

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum and am trying to get a Sanyo Comet II working. I bought it for a guy who started restoring and gave up. Unfortunately, he lost some parts in the process.

One part has me stumped. It is the part that pushes on the bottom of pivoting ramp under the jackpot. I don't know what it should look like since it is obscured behind an orange plastic shroud and the pictures on line all have this shroud on. I tried a couple of designs and it always hangs up.

I would really appreciate a picture, drawing or description of this part.

    Thank you.
    Geezer

    to Pachitalk!

Please post some pictures of your machine when you get a chance.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which piece you are talking about.

Here is a picture of my Comet II if it helps.

    Max,
Thanks for replying. Here a picture with the shroud off. The red oval is the ramp, the green oval is where the missing part would be,. the purple arrow points to a wire that I believe would interface to the missing part when oriented along the yellow line.

Alright. I see what your talking about now. The wire to let out the win ball is missing. It should be easy to replace as it is a straight piece of wire with a 90 degree bend outwards on the top.

Is there a point for it to slide into? As there should be some sort of extrusion in the orange plastic itself for the wire to clip into. Otherwise that is a slightly bigger problem. Also check to see there might be something in the cover itself to hold it.

I personally haven't worked on a Comet II yet but I have a few and most machines are similar. Heck if I look around I may have a spare one of those arms laying around.

    Max,
Thanks. This at least gives me a start. I now have an idea what to make.
