Thumbs up The Clam Clan are off to Japan

Well the flights and hotels are booked, Still need to get a tourist rail pass and a shed load of Yen, Mrs clam seems to be sheduling to much to do, so I don't think I'll get any rest or time to play. Also Mrs Clam want to bring her mother and sister over from the Philippines, as long as they get their travel visa.
But come the end of March, we're off to Heathrow to catch a plane to Seoul for 3 nights, then from there, we move on to Tokyo.

First day after arriving and dropping off our luggage is planned dinner in Yokohama,

Day 2 all day with jr at Disney Sea Tokyo, http://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/
Dinner at Gon Pachi Nishi Azabu http://www.gonpachi.jp/nishiazabu/gallery/?lang=en

Day 3 is a trip out to Fuji 5 lakes http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6904.html
then returning to Tokyo to the Studio Ghibli Museum http://www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/

Day 4 general sightseeing/shopping around Tokyo, Go to Shibuya Crossing and see the statue of Hachiko. Maybe sneek off to a parlour

Day 5 Take the shinkansen to Kyoto. Meet up with Mrs Clams auntie, cousin and old school friend who has worked there for years. (this seems more like a family reunion)
That weekend seems to be peek time for hanami, and pretty much all the hotels are fully booked, Although I did finally get a room here. http://www.nishokan.com/about/guide.html located above Sanjo station. Its also a 6 minute walk from here. http://www.loft101.jp/gallery/ But thats not why we are staying there. Honest, It was the only place within 10 miles that had any family rooms availble.

Day 6 -7 Temple and shrine visits around Kyoto, Also planned dinner for us 3 gents (Jr included) with 5 beautiful kimono clad girls ( The rest of the family) Kyoto has a few kinomo hire shops and guided walking tours, Where for approx $50 you can choose a kimono and assecorys for the day and get your hair styled. Oh this isn't for those who want to get their face painted white like a maiko (tours are extra but include all entry fees)
http://okamoto-kimono.com/english/ki...aku/index.html Also I have been givern permission to go to loft101, for a drink and some food

Day 8 Mrs Clam and I abandon the rest of the family as they go to Auntie's house in Gifu while we go to Mie.
First night to a ryokan/onsen in the mountains a room with our own private hot spring http://www.kotobukitei.co.jp/ The food is meant to be excellent there.
Day 9 after breakfast, travel down to see my friend Chihiro at Matsusaka, then on to Ise to see the grand shrine, Hope to be able to look around some junk or antique shops arouns this time.
Day 10 after staying overnight in another ryokan in Matsusaka following a night of eating, drinking, merryment and possible karaoke all without Clam Jr. Head to join the rest of the family in Gifu.
This is when I hope to be able to go to Nagashima Spaland, Mrs Clam can go to the outlet shopping park and I to the theme park http://www.nagashima-onsen.co.jp/index.html/ See the rides on Youtube, Looks amazing.

Day 11-12 relax around Gifu and I hope to take a trip to Toyosato to go to the former Toyosato Elementary School building. http://www.fabricerequin.com/toyosat...entary-school/ I'm sure KimbaWlion knows about this one

Day 13, Head to Nagoya to see the remains of the pachinko factory (only joking) general sightseeing, last chance shopping then catch the flight back to London.

If anyone has any recommendations for things to do and see, let me know, I can see if I can squeeze them in

No time to visit a pachinko manufacturer or the Pachinko Museum? If it weren't for the Bunnies, I'd say it was a wasted trip!

You'll probably be there close to hanami time... if not in Tokyo, then Kyoto... so - go to Ueno park, drink a couple, and sneak over to the other side of the train tracks and get lost in pachi-company land...

If you're in Osaka, there's a joint that houses one floor of vintage to old-modern pachinkos and one floor of early pachislos. It's in the mall opposite Dotonbori (near Nanba underground station). Not an actual hall - payout is in tokens even for pachinkos and no trade in for anthing... just for funsies. Better than the Nagoya museum (mostly ancient stuff). Never made it to the one in Tokyo (Chiba) - way out in the middle of B.F.J.

Back home now. Only had time to play pachinko once on the last day. Using the 1円 pachinkos. Put 1000円 note in Haruhi Suzumiya, got a couple of reaches but no luck. Put another 1000円 in an AKB48 (not a fan of the group but a fantastic machine) and got a good run of fevers and ended up winning 5000円.
