I'm the opposite. I get my zen moments washing little bits and bobs and cant's stand sanding. It's the texture of the paper; like nails on a chalk board to me.

    Update 1.17.15

Decided to try out this 2 in 1 stain+poly aerosol. I'm fairly impressed.

Here's a picture after the first couple of coats:

For anyone curious, the color is Antique Walnut Gloss.

The bummer is that it's cold an foggy here right now so it's taking forever to dry.

    update 1.22.15

The replacement tray arrived a couple days ago so I got back into gear on the machine. (Big thanks to James @ PachinkoPlanet! I bought the part sight unseen and he hooked me up with a grade-A part.)

All that's left is paint for the lower door thing and finally reassembly.

    Here's where it's at now:

I've been putting the nails back in a little at a time for however long my back can handle being bent over with a hammer.

Also, I'm just about finished with the sequential LED payout lights. I started a thread over in Pachinko Modifications that can be viewed here. I've got a video showing/kinda explaining the circuit.

Once this is finished, the fun of building a cabinet starts. Shouldn't be long!

    update 2.6.15

All the nails are installed, the mechanical bits have been de-rusted and cleaned, front trim and two new panes of glass installed, still working out the bugs in my flashing circuit.

Was planning on building the cabinet this weekend but it might be put on hold since I have to house-sit for a friend. I think he's got the tools I need, but I'm not sure. Might just have to wait.

The finish line is in sight.

Your turd looks much better polished.

Browne92 did upload the circuit diagram. Not sure if that helped you or if your circuit is completely different.

I tried to use that software but it has a learning curve, one really has to know each component to make a PCB from the schematic.
My suggestion is to make your circuit as small as possible and stick it in an ALTOIDS tin. Place the tin over the big label.

Thanks! I did see his schematic post. Unfortunately, we're taking very different approaches. Though he came up with a very nice solution. Mine has become a bit of a puzzle that I'm having fun trying to work out. I'm certain I can get the bugs worked out with RTL, it's just taking a bit because I'm not very well acquainted with transistor logic.

Once I finish the circuit, it should fit on a very small PCB that I'm planning to be a direct replacement of the original power/fuse panel.
