I didn't "get" anything for Christmas this year. Instead, we gave.
My wife and I gave the kids a trip to Cancun, Mexico as their present, and we specifically told them to not buy us any gifts; to save that money for the trip. Watching them have fun for five days in a resort area was an incredible and priceless gift for us, as well as knowing they now have a wonderful memory that will last a lifetime.
Best Christmas ever, as far as I'm concerned.

We didn't really get any gifts(other than a secret Santa gift and something small for each other. The big gift was our kids came from Az to visit Christmas eve, but my wife didn't know anything about it. The look on her face seeing them sitting under the tree was priceless!
