    Default Okumura-Yuki

New to this site and was wondering if anyone has heard of a pachinko manufacturer called "Okumura-Yuki". I just bought my first machine and can't find any info about it on the net. Thanks. Kingsmen26.

Looks to be about a mid-seventies machine.

Here's a picture of the label. I don't know if there is any year info on it and I can't read Japanese. I played these at Playland when I was quite a bit younger and have always wanted one (maybe 2). My wife and I are slowly putting together an older style games room. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...6/000_0672.jpg

It's a Monako brand machine made by Okumura Yuki.
The date of manufacture is January 1977.

I found a site in the UK - http://www.pachinkos.co.uk/Blank%20Page%201.htm - that says this machine was built in April of 1964. Is this possible? Does the formula they use make sense?

No it doesn't make sense. Here look at this..

    http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/p-macaron/howtoknow.htm

Using this, you'll see that Bryan is right with his December 1977 date.

Sorry - Please have patience with me. I don't see how you come up with the year and month based on the info on the sticker. Would someone be so kind as to explain this to an obvious idiot. Thanks.

On that picture you posted with the stickers on it, you'll notice the numbers 55 and 12. 55 is the year reference and if you use the chart from that link that Bryan or I posted you see that 55 is 1980, less the 3 years of varidity you arrive at the 1977 date. The 12 is in reference to the month, December.

What I don't understand myself is what the 3 year deduction or varidity is for? However I will take their word for that one that it's accurate as I do not speak Japanese myself.
