What they are auctioning off is more than likely their rights to the property and all the headaches that go with trying to get it out of customs.

It would be easier to wait for customs to auction them in one of those government auctions for unclaimed items.

I would run faster than an Atlanta bride from this auction.

I have to agree with Tulsa. It sounds as though they are selling property rights. If anyone is seriously considering this I would consult an import broker. I would think that if there were an easy fix to get these machines then this auction would not even exist. If the problem could be fixed by throwing some extra money at it the importer would have done so rather than take a total loss. RUN, do not walk, far away from this one!

BTW: AT, I have a list for that container in Ca. but it's at my office. Give me your fax # and I can fax it to you Monday morning. They currently have 3 containers available but I only have the list for one.

If they haven't been released by Customs, then they are in some bonded warehouse racking some pretty hefty storage fees. Before anyone bids they should confirm if there are any storage fees to be paid, and who will have to pay them.
