Yeah, a cabinet is next on my pachinko "to do" list. I could see how you need 2-3K balls to go through all 15 bonus rounds without refilling, it does get annoying to have to stop and refill the top all the time. How many balls does a typical modern machine hold on it's own without a cabinet/additional hopper? 1500-2000 maybe? Still not sure if I'm going to test my woodworking skills (or lack thereof) or just buy from the infamous "pachinkocabinets.net" and wait patiently...

we call that "the 2 handed shuffle"

you shoot balls with one hand and transfer winning balls to the top rear hopper with the other

You might also consider http://www.pachinkostore.com/cabinets.html. I have never used them, but they have some basic cabinets that look like they would do the trick.

Others would not advise that site. http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...inets-net.html

I haven't dealt with them personally. So I have no personal input but many haven't been too satisfied.

It's actually the same website....it seems they have a monopoly on the Pachinko cabinet industry

To be honest, most people actually make their own (lots of ideas in our Cabinets section)

That way you can make them as simple or complex as you want to go and also style them to your decor

Although Saying that, out of my collection, only one is actually in a cabinet, the rest balance on their little wooden feet

I have the same machine. Here is the cabinet I built four it. The only thing I added was a Gaku counter to keep score.

^Very nice! How do you swing the whole machine out from the frame though (or can you?) It seems like the latch on the inside of the frame to open the whole machine would be inaccessible once in the cabinet? I'm just wondering how I'm going to open mine once I put it in a wall mount cabinet...still not sure if I will go with the basic box design or add a ball collection tray and hopper.

You probably have few options. You could pull the machine or box off the wall if you need to access the back. Depending on how difficult it is to get to the door latch you could use a string or wire leader and then run it out of the top of the machine and then just lift the leader to unlatch. You may be able to cut an opening in the side of the cabinet that would allow you to slide your fingers in and unlatch if the latch isn't too deep. Or you can make a hinged cabinet with a latch or lock on the side so you just open the cabinet to access the back of the machine. I have seen examples of all of these in the cabinet related forum.
