Sanyo Comet II new pickup

Picked up this Sanyo Comet II past weekend Haven't done damage control yet, but at least the front glass is missing and the spinners are pretty worn out.

Any input on year/model/quirks/etc is greatly appreciated

Expiration sticker says 53/6 so that would mean that it most likely was produced in 1977

Thanks for sharing the photos. Front of the machine looks really nice. Also looks to be missing the ball hopper? Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate something that will work. See saw cover is the piece that would screw over the round opening in the lower left. It won't interfere with your ability to play the machine, it will just help keep dust and dirt out of the moving parts. The lower track cover will impact play. It holds the balls down and in the track because the weight of the balls pressing against each other causes them to start stacking on each other and eventually spilling out of the track. It slides into the section of track after the balls make that first big turn on the upper right of the machine. Again, it should be fairly easy to make something that will work out of a piece of plastic, plexiglass or cardboard. If you want to purchase a replacement they are available on member cardwwi's site. Nice looking machine. The playfield is in very nice shape. Also I like the thumbscrews to remove the back, my comet II is a couple years older and does not have them, wish it did. Carl's sticky seesaw video helped me a lot. Mine would. It work but after breaking it down and cleaning everything it all works great. I have not had any issues with the seesaw since. Nice find, you will enjoy it.

You do have the see saw dust cover. I couldn't see it in other picture.
