Truck arrived about 4:47, driver had both large boxes! Yes!

Nephew arrived about 5:30 to open and set up the Araking and the Fever Big Powerful. Both machines were beautifully packaged, very well packed, just as I expected. Cudos to Arby and Eric!

Kyle unpacked the Araking and put it on a temporary "work table." What a good looking machine! I wasn't sure how I'd like the pea-green color, but I do. The machine looks brand new! Beautiful!

He pluged it in, turned it on and...nothing! No lights, no clicks, just dead! Checked outlet, no problem, his multimeter came out, tested the transformer, it was fine as far aas he could tell. 24 volts going to the power supply. (NOTE: Is that too high?)

When he opened the door, we discovered the hopper was not seated in the slides as it was supposed to be, allowing it to bang around and into the power supply box. He discovered the wire connector from the transformer into the power supply box was broken off! I emailed Eric right away and from past experience he will take care of it pronto!

Kyle can fix it, but I wanted Eric to know. So I'll wait until I hear from him on that.

Fever Big Powerful was uncrated next, and like Arby said, no feet on it. Kyle is making some temporary feet for it. In the meantime we set it on the floor just to test it. It powered up fine. He loaded a few balls into it and gave it a shot.

Now I understand the groundingt wire Arby told/showed me! I tried it and discovered that by holding the shooter knob with one hook and touching the chrome behind it with the other hook I could work it fine! We'll see how that works after temporary feet are installed.

We haven't decided if it should be table mounted or if he will build a wall mount cabinet on the order of Slotter's "store-bought" cabinets with funneel refill and drawer in bottom for spent balls. Whichever way we go (I just may buy one like Slotter has, if I can find that link he posted for them!)

Have to leave for work so will post more later!

Tulsa --- Christmas in May is FINE! I love it!

Arby --- Many thanks! That Pachinko is going to be a favorite, I can tell already!

Slotter --- Thanks for the link! I'll check it out and bookmark it. Man do I ever have a growing bookmark list for Pachinnko/Pachislos!

Everybody --- One last thing I thought funny. My nephew was pressed for time when he got here. He kept saying, "I can't stay, I have to get home to cut grass!" (Several acres.)

But when he started playing the Pachinko, he kept on and kept on! I said, don't you have to brush hog your place?

"I can do that after work tomorrow," says he, and played it until dark witth it just sitting on the floor!

I think the boy likes that machine!

IT's all your fault too, Arby!

It was nephew Kyle that suggested I get one!

    TJ,

now all you have to do is build a cabinet for it.

Right now I'm torn between that wall mount that Slotter linked to, and an el-cheapo utility cabinet we have at Wal-Mart for $19. With some very minor modification it would work well for sit-down stand. 29 5/8 inches floor to top.

All that would need to be done is make a small drawer or ramped outlet for the spent balls under the top.

i just built my cabinet for 30 using only a tablesaw and it looks really good, instead of having a hole where the balls come out i put a drawer type thing there where you can put a tray in there to catch the balls and pull it out the front.

RK, yeah, the drawer thing may be the easier.

Arby --- "I like to set, being an old farth, them young puppies can stand."

DITTO to the old farth/young puppies comment!

"So you trying to say TJ, that you are happy with your buy ? and Was it well packed ?

    VERY happy with the buy!
    BEAUTIFULLY packed!!
    NICE shiny balls!

    VERY clean and polished!
And the touch-up kit packed with the key (on a nice coiled chain) along with the Allen wrench is unexpected extras!

I do have one question though. Is the play field supposed to be lighted?

It was a little dark, but we were playing it in dark room on the floor too.

It will light up more when you go into bonus, also check the wires in back to make sure all are seated good.
