    Default Backboard replacement

Here is a new machine i nearly have complete. I had to replace the backboard the cell goes on due to age wood rot and severe warping. I drilled 320 holes for the nails and all the win pockets and jackpots. Please be kind as I have not completed replacing the graphics for the win pockets. Do to the age the paint came of the graphics just from a sneeze no way to salvage. I had to hand paint them from scratch from photos.

WOW! I haven't seen a board warped like that on a pachinko before. I really like that machine! It looks pretty old, due to what looks like hand painted features. I can't guess at an accurate date, except maybe very early '50s. The background looks a little bright...but that is probably what it looked like before it faded! Looking good so far!

I took a photo of the original color of the background where it was protected by wood. It really is that bright (of course my lighting is screwy in the pic with the flash over compensating). I used the color picker in paint.net from the photo and matched it really close. Check out the graphics on the win pockets in the before pics compared to the graphics about to go on....... Pretty darn close

    Dat's purrrty!

Once you get your graphics and spinners on there, it will break up the blue a bit.

    Looks good. Enjoy your machine.

Nice! We get used to seeing old machines with faded graphics that we forget they were originally designed to be load and eye-catching. Excellent job on repolishing the rear mechanics.
