    Default Pachinko balls in tumbler

I was not sure where to put this so hopefully this is ok. I ran some balls that came with a machine that were not if great shape into a vibrating tumbler with crushed walnut shells to see if they could be saved. For anybody who has done this my question is when I take them out, what is the best way to remove any of the dust from the walnut shells? I have only done things like nails, bolts and screws in the past so not as worrisome as balls as I don't want any dust in the machine. Any advise?

    Thanks,
    mike

I use a combination of walnut shells and a polishing rouge. i use this for my reloadable brass, tokens and pachinko balls. I remove the balls from the tumbler and lay them on a terry cloth towel. I fold the towel over and rub them clean. The towel will turn red. I then transfer them to a clean towel and repeat the process. They are generally dust free after that.

I use rusted, dirty, or dull balls in my wrist rocket. To attempt to polish them is just to create zombie balls. They might look clean, but leave them in a machine or bucket for a month and they will bite you.

Though I use simple green instead of dawn. But usually a cleaner isn't needed, just cold water. But rub them down with a towel and then let them air dry the rest of the way.

    100 machines and counting...
