    Default scratched laminate finish tips?

I am working on a machine right now that has some noticeable scratches in the laminate finish. The laminate itself seems to be OK so I don't really need to do any color matching. I'm just hoping someone has a product or process that they can recommend to hide the scratches and provide a consistent surface finish to the piece. Thanks for your help. Hard to see in the photo, but I've attached one nonetheless.

I have had some success with the following process:

    1) Clean it with something like 409 or (my preference) Clorox spray cleaner. Buff well to ensure no residue remains.

    2) Get some enamel paint of a similar color, I think Rustoluem calls theirs "Almond". Put some on your finger and rub it into the cracks, and then immediately wipe the surface with some paper towels before it gets a chance to dry. It should fill the scratches and cracks nicely.

    3) Once dry, spray with some high-gloss polyurethane sealer.

There is a bit of a learning curve on this, it takes a bit of finesse, but you can obtain pretty good results if you get it right.

Thanks, Rival. I had some Dover White acrylic by Krylon in the garage that was a really good match. I've filled the scratches and heading out to buy some poly clear coat. I was afraid that the poly might yellow and not match the rest of the machine. Last night I also picked up a Turtle Wax scratch repair kit at WalMart for $14. I'm going to try that on another scratch on a parts machine with the same laminate and see how it compares. I'll report back with my findings in hopes that it may help someone else.
