About what year would this have been?
Are the parlors much different now... maybe more like our casino's?
Do they still adjust the nails every night?... seems like that would be a huge job in the larger parlors.
I'm not much of a gambler but I have been in a couple of casino's... one just last weekend (blew 40 whole dollars )... I enjoyed watching the people... it seemed similar to this video in that some people seemed almost hypnotized by the machines... and had maybe been sitting there for hours.

They are more like American casinos now, with better lighting, more comfortable seats, and wider aisles. The racket, however, is if anything worse. I don't know about the nails, but I cannot think of anything that would make it less necessary now. I'm not sure of the year, my guess would be late 80's-early 90's.
