Default Help identifying 1975 Sanyo Pachinko

    Hi all,

I need help identifying my 1975 Sanyo Bussan Pachinko machine as well as a getting a general value.
The pic on the front looks like a frog to me, any suggestions?
It appears to work, but I haven't connected a battery to test the lights etc.
    Thanks

    to Pachitalk!

What you have there is a 1975 Sanyo (Frog). One thing I can't tell is what version mechanics it has. If the plastic parts on the back are orange you have a Comet II model; if they are yellow you have a regular model.

Value wise... I'm not the best person to ask (cause I'm kinda cheap) but an average price for a 100% complete machine is between $50-75. Yours would be closer to the top as long as the back is all complete. If you post a picture of the back we can tell you really fast if something is missing.

Also if you have any other questions just ask. And once again welcome to PT.

not it trying to hijack the thread but wondered what is the difference between a comet II and regular model? Was one a higher end machine? Thanks!

Welcome to Pachitalk. It seems like there is no question that can stump the experts here except maybe how to avoid buying another machine. And I'm beginning to think most of us are cheap which is good because it keeps the market prices reasonable. Thank you to my fellow cheapskates.

my thoughts are that it was just a different model of machine.. one im not a fan of.. when they work they seem to work great.. but when that out of balance there a nightmare to get running again..

there not bad machines but they have to be damn good condition before ill buy another one

Thanks for the reply. I have a comet II and once restored it works great and have had no issues but it definitely was not the case before restoring. Could not get it to jackpot, got ball jams. After taking it all apart and a thorough cleaning though it has been great.

    Thanks for the replies.
Here is a pic of the back. It looks like the mechanics may be a better build than Rivals '76 machine looking at some of the hardware.
I also have the original cardboard box it was shipped in from Japan.

    FYI

the red ball stop is flipped into the stop position (upper right corner of the machine).. by fliping that stop up the jackpot balls will be allowed to enter the center jackpot area... then there is a plunger that you can push up under the jackpot seesaw to reset it (center left side).. once you have done that your machine should clear itself out of the small ball jam it has..

im sue ya know this, but thought i would point it out just in case

Well you have the regular version which is actually better than the Comet II version (cause it always works). Neat to see you have the box and all the original contents. Just out of curiosity does the box have a picture of a machine on it? If so could you post that please. I have a few box pictures saved now and am always looking for something different.

Also if you don't have it, here is the instruction manual that would have come with it.
    http://pachinkoboy.com/images/manual...structions.pdf

Granted the manual is for a Comet II model but it is all the same information and it is what the importer stuck in all the boxes. Also if you want to reprint it like the original it was printed on 11x17 paper double sided.

    100 machines and counting...
