Default Door catches on plastic piece when it opens or closes.

Hey folks. Relatively minor issue with my new Indy, wanted some advice.

Whenever I open and close the door, something, and I can't figure what, is catching on this small plastic piece, forcing it to pop off. It sticks back on no problem (it's still tacky with, what appears to be, residue from double-sided tape), but I'd like to find the cause of the catch and stop it from doing that. Any idea?

Looking closer, it seems one of those black circular prongs on the door is catching. So then… the better question… …how do I stop that?

Also, I just realized I put this in the Pachislo support sub-forum by accident. Would a mod kindly move it? Thanks!

I would check to make sure the cel is located properly, and the glass is secure in the front door. I can't get near my lumina frame at the moment.

So how do I go about checking the cell? What should I be looking for?

I'll try and take a look tomorrow. Also trying to figure out how I'm going to mount some PVC to drop the balls into my tray rather than have then fall will-nilly and end up all over the floor as they have been. So I'll take investigate both things tomorrow.

I use an old baby wipe container in the back to catch the lost balls

I have a tray, but the balls seem to have an aversion to actually landing in it.

I, until I can build a cabinet proper, put some feet on the frame and lifted it up high enough to put a tray underneath. The goal is to feed the balls directly into the tray and have the tray still jut out in front so I can just reach in and grab balls as they fall. I've got my machine on my dresser and it's really difficult to move the dresser. So fishing balls out from behind it has been a nightmare.

I've used a conduit pipe clamp holding an oil funnel on a few machines

That clear plastic is the main ball guide, and it should be screwed in, not taped

Can you see tiny screw holes line up with the ones in the cell where that fits in ?

I'm wondering if it's the right guide for the cell

No screw holes in it. Not even sure what it'd screw into...

...it just popped off again when I opened the door. Hmmm.

Lemme try and get a better picture with my GH2.

Looks like you might have a broken piece. As Rubberratt mentioned it is the ball guide, that also holds back some wires on the left edge of the frame.
It should be secured by two screws on the top and the bottom. Here are some pictures to see where the piece should fit, the piece
    might have broken in transit.

No, no, it's definitely a separate piece from what you're pointing at. It sits on top of that piece and is, yeah, held down by some sort of adhesive. But it is definitely molded separately from the piece you're pointing out.

I took some photos, but I've been busy-- I'll dump my memory card later. I will say, though, after I took the pics, I reattached the piece and opened and closed the door a few times and right now it's not catching. Maybe the adhesive was just worn down and it wasn't sitting as flush as it should be? I pushed it in really hard last time and held it there a few seconds before letting going. I just opened the door again a moment ago, now about 2 hours since sticking it back on, and it's not popping off... For now...

Most of my moderns it clips over the metal rail. I guess there could have been some adhesive as well, I don't try to take them off

I'd say that's wise on your part.

For now it's still now catching anymore. Don't know what was causing it, but for the time being, I'd say it's resolved. Thanks all!
