    Default First U.S. Pachinko Parlor

    Did this ever happen?

CMK Gaming International, Inc. (CMKI) To Open First U.S. Pachinko Parlor - NewsOn6.com - Tulsa, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports - KOTV.com |

SALT LAKE CITY, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CMK Gaming International, Inc. (OTC PINK: "CMKI") announced that it expects to open its first U.S. pachinko parlor, which will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This year, the Company purchased its Japanese wholly-owned subsidiary corporation that owns and operates three pachinko parlors in Japan.

The majority of its subsidiaries' income is derived from its three pachinko parlors located throughout Japan. The Company believes that its gross profits will increase after the Company's first year of operating its U.S. pachinko parlor, in 2014. Ms. Shana Weiner, the Company's Managing Director, said, "The Company's first U.S. pachinko parlor should generate great interest and excitement within the Salt Lake City community. From there we plan to capitalize on the excitement of the pachinko parlors by strategically placing them in communities that seek exciting new entertainment venues." The Company encourages those interested in the Company to review the Company's entire financial statements and financial notes which are filed as Supplemental information on the CMKI webpage located on the OTC website, at www.otcmarkets.com.
Pachinko is a mixture of slot machine and pinball. Players try to direct the balls into special holes that will win the player points and exchange those points for gifts at the parlor's gift shop. Like with slot machines, there is a variety of different types of these machines located in pachinko parlors and a player can win if the same three pictures appear or the balls are properly guided to a certain location of the game panel. Both men and women play pachinko and it is said that there are even a few pachinko professionals. If you win balls, you can exchange them into goods that are available in the parlor's gift shop.
Unless you try to be more than you are, what you are is all you will ever be.

Here is the address (I think).

    OTC Sales Inc

    124 W Wentworth Ave
    South Salt Lake, UT 84115

Google maps updated that street view Jul 2014 so if they did anything you should see some signs but I see nothing.

It's not that far from my office. I'll have to do a drive by one day next week.

OK, here's the drive by photo. I think these guys are a grocery store supplier. Doesn't look much like a pachinko palace from the outside. Plus it's in a major warehouse district.

Seems this idea has come and gone... http://www.cmkgaming.com/about.html Unless there is somewhere else other than Utah (seems restrictive to say the least) this has been implemented. Anyone been to one of these proposed (and finished) pachinko parlors?

Call me skeptical, but that site REEKS of a 'pump and dump' scam.

I don't think you're being skeptical, the company said by 2014 or so it would have one open, 3 million in revenue, and is a pink slip traded company (maybe). I would agree with you about pump and dump.

It NEVER came to light, but Pachinko World located in Wilmington NC did open in July of 2015 and is still going strong.
