Yes I've been having the same issue posting. It seems that tapatalk is getting through while standard computer browsing is failing to get access.

I went to the local electronics shop yesterday to purchase some diodes to rebuild the bridge rectifier and found a SOC version small enough to fit inside the box for $4.00. Sometimes micronization is advantageous.

Let us know how that turns out. I know I need to replace the diodes on one of my Circuit Racer machines. That sounds like it could be just as easy a fix and will tidy things up a bit.

Also is that from Marvac? Gosh I miss that place.

    100 machines and counting...

    yes I went to Marvac.
they have been slicing their store footprint into smaller and smaller chunks to rent out to other businesses. it's now roughly 1/3 the size it was and most of the help behind the counter seems disinterested in assisting customers these days..
I'm more than likely to start going to the parent company in Fullerton called "Orvac" went in there a few weeks ago and the place was huge in comparison even to the original Marvac footprint.
they didn't even have a DC power supply on hand (referring to marvac in this case) which seems to be the norm for the costa mesa shop currently. I'm suspicious that they may be silently closing down this shop, which is a bummer because without being able to waltz into a brick and mortar store for components locally would totally suck .

Yeah I was noticing that as well. Every time I went in there they would carry fewer and fewer things. It was really nice to walk in there and find guys who knew what they were talking about and that they had a ton of components no one else carried and for good prices.

New bridge rectifier in place. Had to flip the board upside down to accommodate it and soldier the connections trace side. It lives!!!!!!

    Yes sir!
I tested the solenoid subsystem prior to attaching the repaired power supply with a bench power supply. They worked great at 23v dc and it looks like max draw for them is .65 mA. So I'm running with a 2 amp power supply to operate both the lamps and solenoids. The SOC bridge rectifier I picked up from marvac electronics took some thought on how to mount it up using the original board. Wound up flipping it upside down ( trace side up) and doing through the holes used for power input and output ( the 4 in a straight line) for mounting it in place and soldering the wires in place on the traces to get it done. It's working fantastic!

What's the power rating of your bridge/rectifier, you should be ok with low current.

It'll run 1000v 2 amps ( at least that's what the package says. I think. But check it out the package with the ratings is in the photo with both rectifiers in it.
