Reels shake and o9 displayed on LCD

So, I bought another one. This was an impulse buy from craiglist and I thought I knew what was wrong with it... yeah, I don't know as much as I think I do, LoL

What I have is a Mr. Magic machine by Sammy.

When it's turned on the lights are all flashing and the reels are shaking. The LCD Screen displays o9 (which I'm assuming is an error code, but I can't find that error coded anywhere).

If you move the reals, one by one, with your finger, they will start spinning without an issue. Nothing else on the machine changes. The lights are all flashing and the o9 is displayed. (The other LCD states 68 which I'm assuming was the credits at the time of the error).

I've tried resetting and it doesn't seem to have any affect... what should my next steps be?

I don't have the reset key but I removed that board and the key is not wired, a nearby switch appears to be wired in it's place... which I'm assuming was due to the missing key.

the first thing to do is with the power off, remove all connections and reseat them.

that's a good start as its one of the most common problems
