    Default Soldering tin

Is most metal in the older pachinko's mechanics on the back of the machine tin? If so, does anyone have any recommendations for the correct solder to purchase and other accessories to help build replacement parts?

    Thank you

    Yeah they are mostly Tin.

I'm not sure what you should use to solder it as I haven't had a need to yet. (might in a few months.) But if I was to wager I would say use the same type of solder for doing brass.

OK if you want to see simple tin soldering this is the link I found so far to be the most helpful:

Also tinplategirl's website where you can purchase tin is:

Yeah. Same basic stuff for doing brass. You can find the flux and solder at most hardware stores. It isn't specialty stuff. Also if your good you can use a blow torch instead of a soldering iron (tough that does look easier.)

I needed to get some pieces back to their original shape so I took them loose with a propane torch, let them cool and after the were squared up again soldered them back on with the torch. I found it to be way faster but I am very comfortable with the torch.
