Hello from Silicon Valley
Hello,
Been lurking for a few days now, and figured I'd should introduce myself.
I'm an avid video gamer and fan of all things Japanese (especially J-Pop). I'm currently living in Silicon Valley, and travel to Japan 5-6 times a year, and have always been fascinated by the variety, flashiness, and noise of the pachinko parlors that are everywhere.
I didn't know that you could even get these machines cheaply in the US, until I was in Tokyo last week for vacation, and a friend casually mentioned that he had an AKB48 Team Surprise Machine at home.
It was all I could do not to rush back to the hotel and order it right then from Akimono.
Maybe I should have waited - because I when I did, I discovered they had an Ayu machine as well. So less than a week later, and barely making it back from Tokyo in time to receive the shipment, I'm the proud owner of these two machines:

Thanks to many informative posts on this forum, I was able to get them up and running with no trouble. And now I think I've discovered a new addiction/hobby. Looking forward to spending this 3-day weekend building my first cabinet!
