Default Gluing play field plastics back together

I am currently working on a Nishijin model A; Frog Pond cell. Getting ready to reinstall the play field plastics when I broke one using cardwwi's foiling technique. Not the processes issue but my ham-fisted handling of the part. Can anyone tell me what kind of plastic this might be? Or maybe recommend a.n appropriate glue. Model cement doesn't seem to get the job done.

And here's to cardwwi for sharing his foiling technique. It will bring a whole new dimension to my restoration work.

Roughen and clean the surfaces and use epoxy. The link below is for a hobby filler that is really good stuff.

Not sure the plastic type...but this only don't seem to work on flexible/soft type plastics.finally 002.jpg Of course it is a 2 part epoxy. Smells like vinegar. is EXTREMELY strong! Whenever I sand it down...it seems harder than the plastic I am fixing. And, it is ready for another layer in about 20 minutes! JB WELD used to be my "go to" epoxy for anything broken,,,and If ABSOLUTE STRENGTH is required...then JB WELD I will use. This stuff dries, and is ready to sand in 15 to 20 minutes...NOT 4 HOURS! Almost ALL of my pachinko repairs have used this stuff! My 1st repair, was a ball tray. I was afraid it wasn't strong enough to fill missing parts. so, I used 12 gauge copper wire as a reinforcement...like Rebar. It was totally unnecessary!007.jpg009.jpg I have an Okumurayuki yhat was missing a ball dump cover. This one from a member, was ALMOST the right size/shape. new cover 001.jpg So I cut it up...new cover 002.jpg and epoxied it back together! new cover 006.jpg new cover 007.jpg And I modified a Nishijin tray to work on a Maruhon machine...cutting out plastic and adding Plexiglass. finished tray 010.jpgfinished tray 015.jpg Full load of balls with NO problems! It is about $6 and available at most AUTO PARTS stores.

Plastistruct plastic weld. Can be found at most hobby stores and will bond together most types of plastic.

I swear by this stuff now. It is basically superglue for plastic. It has stuck back together many things I have broke. Trust me the little bottle also goes a long way. It will leave a glossy seem on the plastic but nothing to really complain about. The stuff works by chemically fusing the plastic together so it isn't actually glue.

    100 machines and counting...
