    Cool Need help ... Please!

Okay, so my background is in arcade machines and pinball just an FYI. I have an Sankyo Indiana Jones pachinko machine that worked great for a long while, but the motor stopped launching the ball to the top. Now its just a sad little plunge then down the drain not activating the game, and since there are no solenoids I'm lost. Been trying to find a replacement motor on places like Ebay and tried Google search, but am coming up short. Can a few resident geniuses out there help me out on this? Is there something I'm missing on why it seems there is no power in the launcher? Where can I find replacement parts in English translation. Thanks all!

I do have a spare shooter assembly for one of these. With all the springs, hammer arm and motor, But never heard motor go yet. Is the motor noisy? But check to see if the spring is broken on the hammer arm on yours first

Have a a play and see what happens.

Another thing would be is to open the lower front of the frame, and check the path where the ball is launched.
Sometimes items get lodged in the ball path, and can cause problems like you are experiencing.

Also make sure that you are securely touching the grounding ring on the shooter knob.

If the shooter motor isn't working the first thing to check is the dongle. It plugs into the 25-way D socket on the back (just below the payout motor), if it is missing or broken then the shooter is disabled. There is also a 1A fuse on the circuit board the dongle plugs into, if this has blown the dongle gets no power and the you get the same shooter disabled problem.

If the problem is with the dongle (and not the shooter motor itself) then the 7-segment LED error code display on the back will probably be showing an '8' or '9'. If there are no error codes, then you will likely need to check the motor and motor driver board.

I've got an English translation of the Lumina frame manual on my website with all the error codes and fault finding info in it.

If you need more info on the dongle, I've also got a FAQ page with connection info and diagrams.

I thought the same thing at first but I gather the shooter works but isn't powerful enough to shoot balls on to the playing field.

Correct Drunkenclam. The ball shoots but there is not enough push to drive the ball to the top. This is my one and only Pachinko machine so please forgive my ignorance on the construction. I see a spring on the hammer where the ball makes impact but dont see another on the hammer arm itself. It seems the spring is wound on the hammer tip up to the arm. Dont know if that makes sense but its like the spring on the tip of the arm would not be effective if coming into contact with a ball. Could that be the issue? Is there supposed to be like 1/16 of inch of spring on the tip of hammer to impact the ball?

The shooter assembly looks like this when removed and the circuit board taken off the back.
The hammer assembly should move freely when you pull it back and return with a nice ping.

The return spring for the hammer is located in the white plastic on the left hand side. There are cut outs in the plastic to adjust the spring tenson.

Between the metal plates you can see the white cam the motor drives that pulls the hammer back, Is this intact?

Is there a knob or pot on a Lumina to increase the shot strength??

All of Drunkenclams pics look like mine. But for my own ignorance I have to ask what does this gear do? It doesnt seem to move with anything else in the gear/motor.

I have had the motor apart several times and fear if there was a "setting" it was supposed to be at it may be off now.

turning the knob on the front should turn the smaller crescent gear, turning the larger mechanism. It tightens or loosens the spring adjusting how hard the shot fires.

If you attach the shooter knob back to the assembly (out of the machine) when you turn the black ring, does it turn the white gears and increase the spring tension. Or has the black ring come off the main shaft. Or cracked inside the shooter knob.
