Default WTB - Mid 70's Daiichi jackpot seesaw

I have been working on a 1974 Daiichi and have found it incredibly rewarding. I'm almost finished with getting it to work, but the front tab on the jackpot seesaw was broken off and is missing. Does anyone have a seesaw from a parted out mid 70's machine that they would be willing to sell or know of a source where I could find one?

    Thanks,

    Chris

to pachitalk! The only parts machine I have is a Nishijin. I'm pretty sure that seesaw is different. I don't even have a Daiichi to see if they are the same. It is on my want list. I'll have to get one some day.

Thanks for your help with this! My grandpa had a 1975 Daiichi and all of the grandchildren spent hours playing it. When my aunt asked me if I wanted it, I was very excited. Unfortunately, my uncle had stripped most of the parts off of it over the years to repair his own machine. I was lucky enough to find the 1974 at a local garage sale. My goal is to get the 1974 restored and completely understand it so that I can eventually tackle my grandpas machine. Below are pictures of the seesaw.

Your response as to it not being broken is identical to my first reaction as well. The problem is that the jackpots pay of into the dead ball return. I can manually release the lever and the jackpot payouts go down the payout channel. I quickly ran and looked and my grandpa's machine to see if the seesaw was still on his. It was, and that is when I noticed that the front tab on the seesaw of the 1974 had broken off so the weight of the ball couldn't trigger the seesaw to work correctly. Unfortunately, in my uncle's haste to remove other parts, he had broken off the tab on the side that the wire on the latch mechanism feeds through, so I'm in the same boat with that seesaw as well. I'm attaching a picture of the seesaw from my grandpas 1975 to show what the missing tab should look like. (on the bottom in the attached picture)

parts from a 1975 Daiichi will fit a 1974 if he has the right see-saw.

    oh and to Pachitalk.

Yes, I was lucky and both parts are identical, so I could tell what was wrong. The problem is that both are broken. The front tab is broken off of the 1974 and the side tab that the wire runs through is broken off of the 1975. Is there a way to reconstruct either broken piece if I can't find an unbroken seesaw? Sorry, this question might now be in the wrong Forum.

Alright I see what you're talking about. That does become a slight problem. You might be able to take a small piece of acrylic and glue it onto the side and then drill the right size hole in it. If you glue the piece on you might want to put some epoxy around the glue joint to strengthen it, and if you do that you will have to try to apply a slightly smaller amount to the back side to re-balance everything.

Also to initailly glue on the piece of acrylic I'd recommend buying some Plastruct. here is a link to their website. Plastruct, Inc. - Glue Contents you want the orange label, it can be found at most hobby stories.

Thanks to everyone for your help! If plan A doesn't work as far as finding a replacement part, I'll definitely be going that route.
