Default Just picked up a Captain Herlock!

Well like it says I just picked up a captain herlock. The owner tried to install volume controls so now only 1 speaker works. That and it needs a good cleaning! Makes my 4th modern and my 11th machine so far. Also have a Galdiator 9 drums, Super Sea Story, & a Thunderbirds. I'm looking forward to messing around with this new one.

I just picked up my first machine, a Thunderbirds for $24.75 at a yard sale. As I look around the site I see there are more than one type of Thunderbirds so I don't know the model but I just found a new interest and a way to spend more time in the basement

The Thunderbirds machine is known as Thunderbirds 3. I've had the machine for around two years and I enjoy it greatly. You got it for a great price. There is an entry for that machine on the pachislo information database website. I also wrote a players handbook on the machine for the site, which is attached to the database entry.

Great score on the Captain Herlock. I saw that on ebay. If I wasn't getting my Yamato Revival, I would have been tempted to get it. Let us know how it goes with the work on the volume controls.

Well was playing it for the first time last night and not even 3 minutes in I hit a 18? Round fever. I spent most of it covering the only working speaker lol volume controls are gonna be a must on this sucker for sure but the fever action was great. Made me wish I put more balls in it for testing hahaha.

As a temporary fix, duct tape over the speaker covers works fairly well.
Caution though, removing the tape might remove any paint from the speaker cover.

Use Gaffer's Tape. Costs more, but it is just like duct tape and leaves no residue behind. Also, it shouldn't strip the paint.

Use LD's old socks. Just make sure you get a dark coloured pair or they stand out like a sore thumb.
