If after providing 24 VAC at the power terminals you still blow fuses, I would guess that the problem is somewhere within the yellow rectangle.

i think the problem is with the black components at the front of the picture but I can't seem to identify them
the code on the board is "V" which I'm not sure what that stands for but when I google the number on the part it doesn't come up with anything

mine me has one more red connection at the end on my one I hope it would work :-)

If every connector is used. You need them to be the same. I think they are called varisistor. When my old tutor plugged her 100v Japanese rice cooker into the 240 mains supply. This was the only part that blew. What writing is on yours?

one says v7680c7, another one is v7680c6

hopefully I can find some :-)
