    Default Nishijin "C" Loading/Sequecing problem

    Hello:

I just purchased a Nishijin C Sophia at an Estate Sale. I was warned that it was not working and no return, all sales final, yada, yada. I got it home and with a little helpe from the web and this site, got it working within a few minutes. The one problem I am having is with the ball loader.

I am unfamiliar with the proper terminology, so by ball loader, I mean the part(s) that lift the next ball to be fired into the firing lane. I can work the lever on the back manually and it works fine. However, I cannot figure out how to get this lever connected to or with the firing hammer so that the next ball is sequenced each time a ball is fired. I tried searching but my lack of technical terminology had me finding posts about building auto ball loaders that recycle balls back to the top tray.

Is there a diagram or process for hooking this loader to the firing group? I tried a picture, does it look like something may be broken? One interesting note: The "part" that connects the firing hammer to the return spring is a nail, bent into a "J". Not sure this is visible. Is this normal?

    Thanks in advance.
    Carl

It looks like a wire is missing. You have a Model B. The part I think is missing is attached to the hammer and would move the plastic piece.

It would be where the red line is in the picture and attached to the bolt in the red circle.

It is a very common part and readily available. Can you tell if it is missing?

Thanks, there is not a wire there so that is what I will be looking to buy or fabricate. I was envisioning some sort of cam mechanisim bit can see how the wire would be a much simpler solution.
