HELP!!! UFO pachinko pickup

Hello pachi members. I'm in a little bit of a bind. I found a UFO pachinko online for sale in Virginia for only 65 dollars. So of course i tried buying it off of them with the amount for shipping included in the deal. So they decided to take it down to UPS and they found out that packaging was 80 bucks so they told me the deal was off and they wanted to refund me my money! I asked them nicely to just pack it themselves and ship it with all the money i gave them and they denied me. So long story short, they wanted to sell it to me, but now UPS has screwed me out of yet another pachinko machine. So i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to pick it up for me and ship it off. I would pay for the shipping of course, but these people stated the pachinko wasn't worth the hassle. In the world of Pacinko machines I say that is Bull S***!!! It'd definitely worth it! The pachinko machine is in Virginia, anyone in that area please private message me ASAP! I would very much appreciate it!

You've already paid or offered to pay the $80 shipping and they refused?

or you've already paid a shipping price for less than that?

or is the $80 just for the packaging not including shipping?

sorry for the confusion. What happened was, i paid for the machine (65 dollars) with shipping (90 dollars) which I paid through paypal, they just got all weird because of the packaging fee for 80 dollars. I said i would pay for it, buy they thought it was a waste of time anyway so they gave me a refund of my 155 dollars and told me sorry. So I am in need of help. I really would like to purchase this machine.

Really sorry to read about your experience. It feels like Craigslist has become a mecca for the dishonest and just plain lazy folk. Looks to me like you tried to make things right by these folks and they really want someone to do their legwork for them. My experience has that about 80-100 bucks is the going robbery to pack out a machine by a mailing outfit + your shipping bill. Keep looking. Another will pop up. Look at other parts of the country and contact sellers to see if they will accommodate you; many will. Good luck

80 seems high for a packing fee but it does vary. I usually pay 50-60 at UPS stores.
People using Craig's aren't planning on shipping in general. They just want to make a few bucks and get rid of whatever it is. This means you have to make it worth their while to lug the machine to the store, take the time, wait in line, etc. I offer more than what they're asking to account for the hassle and to beat other offers that may come their way.

Where in VA is the machine? I live in Central, VA and would be glad to help. However, I do work a lot of hours and rarely have time off for a road trip.
