    Default Power?

I got a king star packing by sankyo. I don't have any pictures now, but where it seems a cord should be, there's no plug. Is this a simple matter of attaching a plug, or something else? Thanks!

Did some reading. Seems it needs a transformer. The machine says 24 volt, so I'll see how it goes...

Okay, I got it powered on. Balls loaded. Not shooting, also not registering anything if I drop a ball in by hand. What am I missing? Thanks!

I looked, and couldn't find one, or where one would go.

Okay. I'll find it, or something that looks like it and provide photos. Is this the only problem there could be? All modern machines have this?

    Okay, the long awaited pictures!

    20140515_151055.jpg20140515_151117.jpg20140515_151129.jpg20140515_151139.jpg20140515_151154.jpg20140515_151514.jpg20140515_152156.jpg

I didn't find a dongle, or a place for a dongle. I try to hold in the button under the power switch as I power it on, and it makes a ding when it powers on, but that's it, that's all holding the button in does. I tried the same thing with the button near the digit display, and it will turn on and off repeatedly. I'm guessing it need some kind of reset I don't know about.

There's also a red light button on the front near the bottom left. I press it, and the lights on the front circle around the machine. I'm guessing it's some help call button for when it was in a parlor?

When you drop a ball in the front win pocket, does it fall out of the back?

I didn't see an area for a dongle either but the picture was blurry. The dongle looks like a parallel printer port from a computer.

    I know, no dongle.
A ball in a win pocket does drop out of the back.

Win ball does drops out the back and no pachinko balls rewarded to the front tray, correct?

Can you please post a close up of this area, and aim a little lower and a little further to the right too...

One last note, the shooting handle has a metal ring. Your hand needs to be touching the metal ring, as you turn the handle, for it to shoot.

Here you are. Also, I tried, making sure to touch the metal, nothing.

Everything looks good in that picture to me.

I only have one last idea now. At the very bottom of the machine, there is a microswitch tied into the bottom tray. If pachinko balls get too backed up there, it gets depressed and stops the machine from working. BUT, usually there would be an audible alarm as well. So, I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Maybe drunken clam has an idea?

I can't find the switch you're referring to... could you point me in the right direction?

i think 'King Star' is a 2003 Sankyo model and housed in the 'Victory' frame

here is a link to the frame manual for CR version

    http://www.pinballdave.com/pachinko/...ory_Manual.pdf

im on iPod at moment and can't see the front pic in great detail, so can't see if it is the CR version (which require dongles).
Usually 2 button on front tray denote the CR version

    Unhappy Re: Power?

Maybe in the third picture. Looks like two wires. What is that one connected to?

Otherwise, I'm not able to see anything wrong looking in the pictures.

They're part of a bundle of wires. No luck.

    Smile Re: Power?

Check out the manual Hanabi posted in this thread, look for the card reader (dongle), error codes, door switches, front tray full switch (is what I was talking about).

What error code do you have? If any?
