Default Info wanted on Maruhon pachinko

    Hi,

I have just registered on here, as I am having trouble finding information about modern Pachinko machines.

I have bought a Maruhon Flunky Dog and from the looks of it, it is incomplete, but cannot really say until it arrives. It looks to me that the transformer is missing?

Is there anyone on here that owns one of these machines, is there any information or parts available?

I already own a 1976 Nishijin Pachinko and this is my first venture into a more modern game. I have no idea how they work!

    Cheers,
    Dom.

    Hello

I believe Flunky Dog was manufactured around July 2004 and is housed in the Maruhon 'Spark' frame

Here's a RC link: Google Translate

I will post when I locate more info (as have to dash out now )

but in the meantime, a big Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Can't really see. But it looks like that there is a lead hanging out that plugs into the circuit board on the left. The machines all had aftermarket transformers fitted as originally they would be plugged into parlour 24v power system.

Thanks for that. So they run off 24v, that's interesting. What sort of amperage do they use?

Varies. But it should be listed on the back. 5amp is normal for machines of that age.

    Hi,
    a quick update:

my machine has arrived! On first inspection it seems mostly complete, I am not sure if there is anything missing behind the back center cover. I take it the grey wire is the supply wire, and I need a 24v ac supply. Does anyone know somewhere in the Uk that I can get a transformer from

Is it normal to have no cover over the lcd screen on the playfied?

your attachments seems to have failed

Transformers can be sourced through ebay, Rs components, farrnells or other online sources. i get mine from RS normally.
Some of my machines have the lcd in a clear plastic case, some don't. As long as there is no way that a ball can hit it, Its fine.

I don't know what happened to my pictures.
Here they are again, first one is of the back of the pachinko:

Then here is a close up of the volume control and the power cable. Looks like the contrls are loose.
    IMG_20140510_165002244.jpg
Here is the front, it looks in pretty good shape, but dirty.
    IMG_20140510_172433115.jpg
And finally a close up of the back, maybe there is something missing here, there is a loose sensor that looks like the balls go through it?

If there is a 25 pin d port, make sure there is a dongle in it, Also do some basic tests, Fill up the back, open the front door, then drop balls in to each pocket in turn to see if you get a payout and the start pocket makes the screen reels spin

Thanks for the help. Do you have any recommendations for the transformer? i have done a basic search on eBay, but most are 115v.

Thats common, But if it has 2 primary coils you can link the together, Or like this one.

Buy Toroidal Transformers Toroidal Transformer, 160VA, 24V-0-24V Nuvotem Talema SFB0160-230-24 online from RS for next day delivery.

you can link the two outout coils togther to get a 6A transformer
