Default New Cabinet Source in Town

After lurking in the weeds for a while I have decided to wade into the fray. As the user name indicates, my name is Dave. I am a semi retired cabinet maker with access to some pretty nifty equipment. I've had a lifelong passion for vintage pachinko games since I saw my first one in the 60's. Over the years I have bought and sold a couple of dozen older games. Reading the cabinet thread it looks like there is a need for a reliable quality source for cabinets. I would like to help fill that void. Currently I am offering one style either assembled or not. There are a few more designs on the near horizon as soon as I work out a couple of bugs to the designs.

    DSCF0009.jpgDSCF0019.jpgDSCF0020.jpg

The design uses KD furniture hardware for exceptional strength and very easy, fool proof assembly. With an access door on the side, the latches and back mechanics are within easy reach. Currently available in 7 different colors as well as unfinished poplar ply.

Currently I have two listings on eBay:

Wall Cabinet for Classic Vintage Pachinko Game | eBay

Wall Cabinet for Classic Vintage Pachinko Game Ready to Assemble | eBay

Now the best part...PachiTalk members can purchase either on of these cabinets @ a 15% discount. PM me for details.

    Dave

    Welcome to Pachitalk!

Very nice looking cabinet. Would this design also work standing on a shelf or would it need extra support to make it stable?

Great question. The unit is stable enough to be used for tabletop or shelf applications. Thanks

I am not afraid of modding! BUT I do want guidance and directive. Give me instructions and I can do most things!
BUT I need to financially recover from England and such but I can see owning several of these eventually... And by then
hopefully whatever bugs are there will be ironed out! I checked ebay too and the pricing is pretty darn good. I can assemble, stain and seal myself and save!

its the ball hopper on top.. when filling the machine from the top once the top hopper of the machine is full the balls will spill out.. i used a cloth tube to funnel balls into the pachinko machines hopper and retain them between the machine and the cabinet...

my first attempt was a piece of pvc pipe but it caused flow/jam problems.. the flexibility of the fabric seemed to solve all problems..

Sweet! So is that because the newer machines work better with a more balls (nyuck, nyuck) than the older machines?

You bet they do. You bet they do. wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more.

Jokes aside. That is a nice looking cabinet you built there. I saw the listings on ebay recently and I thought it might be a member who built them (or future member). Pricing your not too far out. Almost every single person who has come to me recently is asking for a cabinet. We usually end up adding on around $200 to their cost for a cabinet so you're doing well.

I'm currently building a cabinet based off Ken's plans but with quite a lot of mods and I'll be sure to add pics when done.

Anyways once again welcome to PT. And thanks for what your doing and hopefully we can help you out a bit.

I have updated my line to include a Table Top Cabinet. I know that the pictures show a door in both listings but the lesser priced version does not include the side door. PT members are being offered a 10% discount on this pricing, please PM me for details

After a fair run at the cabinets for our games, I will no longer be building cases for sale. Thanks for the support over the past six months.
