    Question Whats your "Skill" setting?

    So after owning my first pachislo for just over a week (Spin luck #749) i was wondering what skill setting everyone else has their machines set to and which one gives the best payouts and gameplay. Ive been playing on 4 most of the week and changed it to 5 yesterday but found that i wasnt winning as much from the "Big Bonus" and the "Future Game" modes as i was previously although i won an awful lot more on reel spins.

    I always play 3 or 4, more action and smaller wins makes it more fun

    I might try it on 3 for a while. My wheel spins are always really low, im lucky to hit 50 points i usually get either 20 or 30 so i was wondering if that was to do with it being on level 4/5?

    I keep mine set to 4. Seems to keep it pretty exciting for everyone.

    So I cranked mine down to 3 and i instantly noticed a big difference in the generosity from the Big Bonus and most of all from the "Future game" where the big wheel on top spins. I spun 333 and then 4 100's for a total of 733! Whereas before i was lucky to get a total of 200! A big improvement although there is a little less action on the reels during refular play but that doesnt matter too much!

    I think I have most of my pachislos set on '4' too, been so long since I last played a pachislo though, but I seem to recall setting them at the level that was most popular here

    The settings are most likely to vary from manufacturer and game title etc, so it's always worth experimenting with the settings if you feel it will help your enjoyment with the machine.

    Here is the link to the Spin Luck settings and odds / ratios, just in case you don't already have it (shows very little difference between 3 & 4 on a SpinLuck though)

    I usually have my Eva set at 3 but I wanted to test a light bar (very top) so I set it to 4. As you can see on the counter, no Regular Bonuses. This is where a counter comes in handy.

    Hello, this is my first post.

    I just bought my first Pachislot (Saint Seiya) and as I read here that you can change the Skill level, I would like to know where can I do this, because I am all new to this kind of machines and I have no idea.

    Thanks!

    Hello

    Welcome to PachiTalk, You can change the skill level as part of the Hard Reset process as follows:

    Here is some info that explains how to reset a pachislo, as part of this process it includes how to change and set the skill level, you must follow all steps carefully

    "How To Set the Skill Levels of Your Pachislo
    HOW CHANGE ODDS:

    "TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"

    1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key.
    Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.

    2. Turn "reset" key switch to on, to access programming mode.

    3. Turn on machine now.

    4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door. (please note on some models the numbers could be displayed inside the machine)

    5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.

    6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.

    7. Turn "reset" key back to off.

    8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

    Also just to confirm some additional info (from member Chrisdice) regarding hard reset

    Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

    For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on

    Thank you for the quick reply!

    I did what you explained just in the previous post. I want to believe that now it's easier, I realized that rare figures now appear more often on the reels -I set it to "6"-, but when I made the odd change there was no "ok" message on the screen or any confirmation sound from the Pachislo confirming that the changes were made. I checked a video on Youtube explaining this process and there wasn't either a sound confirming the changes.

    Is this usual? I guess it depends on any brand but any advise would be grateful.

    Thanks in advance!

    No sounds are normal in changing the odds. You can check to see if they changed, if you're not sure, by turning a reset key again and see what odds number shows.
