Tough machine to find. Aside from mine the other two I have seen had the same red plastic as yours, mine has blue. They were produced for several years, from 1961 to about 1963. They work very similar to a standard dropper model (model B) from the era.

I have a New Prince as well! One of my favorites!New Prince 003.jpg Its mechanism on the back is different from others...what made me want it. I like the large amounts of cast aluminum.NP damage report 004.jpg

congratulations on your find! couple questions... did it happen to come with a manual?
is it paying out properly on jackpots? I can't get mine to pay off properly. it appears that the linkage might not be correct on mine,
but I have nothing to compare it to, so I'm basically dead in the water with it. is anybody out there
happen to have the schematics, repair manual, owners manual, for this particular machine?
I am willing to pay for it.

None of the above. Especially on machines this old. What specific problem does yours have? It a different mechanism than others, so I will have to dig mine out to help you understand it. But if you can explain what it is doing maybe I can help you figure it out. Mine does work and pay out, but the mechanism is a little finikey. They appear to be high quality, so as long as someone hasn't broken anything...should work!

I'm not sure if anybody has tinkered with it in the past
and a mess anything up or not. I noticed on a couple other machines here
that there is a plastic tray it appears, above the metal tray
near the top of the machine and back. perhaps mine is missing?
or did it not come with one?
another thing I noticed is the long chimney like metal box in the back.

appears to be missing about 1 and 1/2 inches of the metal near the top
I cut out small pieces of cardboard to cover the opening
so balls wouldn't fly out everywhere while working on it and triggering
    the release rod mechanism.
what might help would be some good close up shots of the Denver area is
on the back of the machine. when I drop a ball in one of the jackpot holes
it comes down through the back and stop in that little Channel
and will not release the payout. I believe something beyond that point
is messed up. a clear close up shot of that area of might be helpful.
thanks for everyones input so far. everything seems to work on it except the payoffs.

a close up picture of the machine in its failed state would be helpful. sounds like an issue with some linkage. can you manually move the linkage parts and they move smoothly? or does it have some stiff areas during the movement?

It really is amazing that for years only a few of these were known, and then suddenly everyone finds one. I don't think these were ever imported into the US for resale, so they probably are all GI machines (machines brought back by military service members).

The only manuals for vintage machines were made by the companies that imported them, usually just basic instructions. You can be sure there was never anything made for the New Prince machines, and there are variations on the rear mechanics from year to year. Also, they came without any electrical lighting, but look amazing when lit from the rear as they were designed to. Backlight it with a few long fluorescent tubes and enjoy the show.

EI made some headway on it today. Found a youtube video
By someone that goes by e-chewy, it's about a 10 minute video on this particular machine.
I figured out how the linkage around jackpot area we're supposed to be set up
and everything worked fine, until I mounted it back on the machine, then the balls got stuck
at the entry point...arghhh!!! I think a little fine tuning will get it right.
I like the back lighting idea, I will have to set that up.
that video on YouTube is a must see for any owner of a
    New Prince!

Does anyone know e chewy here, or how to contact them
? they have the same machine I need advice on, and can probably help me resolve
    my problem.
