Default Nice restored 73 Nishijin - Three comic

I was sidelined since the end of Jan with 3 broken bones, but I have healed enough to get back in the game again. Here is a fully restored 1973 Nishijin I knocked out last week. I put the "Pulse" playfield on it just because I had a spare on lying around.

Feels good to be doing something productive again.

Looks pretty nice! I just bought my first pachinko machine. It's a super dx like yours. Is there a good resale market for restoring these??? I paid $20 for mine as I was scanning eBay and saw the similar ones that don't work selling for $50-$100 bucks... I figure I can't lose.

Well, it sounds simple, doesn't it? Unfortunately, the economics of restoring machines is not as rosy as you might think. Yes, the cost of the machines is minimal. But it is very labor intensive. You end up making less than $5.00 per hour you sink into the restore. You are better off busing tables if you are looking to make a living. It just takes forever to do one up nicely. You really better love doing it because it does not pay all that well for your effort. And honestly, you have to do dozens before you really get even a little efficient at it, and building up an inventory of spare parts and restored graphics can take years.
